Roznama is an annual exhibition for Egyptian artists under the age of 30. It is organized by Medrar to encourage experimentation in the field of visual arts vis-a-vis orthodox approaches taught at local art academies. Starting 2014, Medrar developed Roznama into a competition, where an independent jury selects artworks through an open call to include in the show. Medrar organized Roznama 4 in collaboration with the Contemporary Image Collective.
This year`s jury comprised: artist Ahmed Badry, curator Bassam El Baroni and artist Shady El Noshokaty. The group selected exhibited artworks, as well as prize winners.
The following artists took part in the exhibition: Ahmed El Hosainy, Islam Shabana, Aya El Sayed, Ehab Behairy, Peter Nicolas, Dania Hany, Rehab El Dalil, Sarah Ibrahim, Shatha ِِِِِAl-Deghady, Amro Thabit, Mohamed Ismail, Mohamed El Maghraby, Mohamed Monaiseer, Marwa Ben Halim, Marwa Saad, Marwa Abdel Monem, Maryam Ahmed, Mena El-Shazly, Menna Genedy, Mai Osman, Nadia Mounir, Nada Baraka, Nourhan Refaat, Norhan Alaa, Hadya Mahmoud, Hend El Kolaly, Hend Samir and Yasmine Elmeleegy. The prize winners are: Sarah Ibrahim, Marwa Saad, Peter Nicolas, Hadya Mahmoud, Islam Shabana, Nourhan Alaa, Nadia Mounir, Dania Hany and Marwa Abdel Monem.
